What is the timetable?
The key dates are as follows:
Regulations came into force on 2 January 2007.
Producers must have joined a
Producer Compliance Scheme
by 15 March 2007.
Marking became mandatory from 1 April 2007.
Recycling and recovery of of WEEE began on 1 July 2007.
Producers must rejoin a
Producer Compliance Scheme
by 15 October each year.
First Compliance Period ended 31 December 2007.
Subsequent compliance periods end on 31 December each year.
